Cupcakes:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1/2 c. boiling water
1 egg

Frosting:
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. sugar

Cupcakes:
Mix together. Put in a 12 cupcake pan. Bake at 350ºF for 20 minutes.

Frosting;
In a sauce pan mix all ingredients. Heat until mixed well. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Pour over cupcakes. As it cools, it hardens.
