1/3 cup Salt
3 c. Sugar
3 c. Vinegar
1 tbsp. Celery Seed
1 tbsp. Mustard Seed
1 tsp. Tumeric (ground)
2 Onions (sliced)
Cucumbers

Directions:
Directions:
Slice the cucumbers and onions into a gallon container. Mix all other ingredients thoroughly and pour over the cucumbers and onions. Store in the refrigerator, shaking the container twice a day. In 8-10 days the pickles are ready to eat. Keep indefinitely.
(I use cider vinegar and sometimes omit the onions - gallon ice cream container works.)
