"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

2 cups granulated sugar
6 oz semisweet chocolate, melted
1/4 cup butter, melted

3/4 cup powdered sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º.
Combine in a large bowl the melted butter, chocolate and sugar; beat until blended.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Add to the chocolate mixture. Beat until soft dough is formed. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour or longer.
Shape into 1 " balls, roll in powdered sugar.
Bake on greased cookie sheet 10 - 12 min. Cool on cookie sheet 3 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
Store in air tight container, with a piece of bread to keep them soft.

Note: Dough is very sticky, I found it easiest to drop the dough from a spoon ( 1/2 full) into a bowl of powdered sugar, and then roll into balls.

Personal Notes:
This is another favorite cookie of the Brittany Pointe residents. This recipe was given to me by my first grandchild, Grace Doyle. This recipe is challenging at times, but well worth it. (Dick only likes them when they are soft)
