Cream
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs, one at a time
16 oz. can Hershey’s chocolate syrup
1 cup all purpose flour
½ cup nuts (optional)

Ganache Frosting:
8 oz bittersweet chocolate
1 cup heavy cream. .

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar until light and fluffy. Add 4 eggs, one at a time. Add chocolate syrup. Stir in 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup nuts (optional).
Grease and flour 7.5 x 11 inch pan. (The only pan I’ve found that’s this size is a Pyrex baking dish.) Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes.

Ganache Frosting:
Chop 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate and place in bowl of food processor. Microwave 1 cup heavy cream for 3 minutes. Pour over chocolate and let stand for 2 minutes.
Pulse 3 or 4 times, 1 second each.
Transfer to mixing bowl and cool for 1 hour.
Beat with mixer until light and fluffy.
Spread on cooled cake.
