1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 T. butter or Bacon drippings
2 1/4 c. water
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 c. tomato paste
1 1/2 T. salt
1/8 T. pepper
1 T. chili powder
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, cubed

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat and drain. Place butter or bacon drippings in pan, add onions and meat. Stir in rice, water, bouillon cube and tomato paste. Add seasonings. Heat to boiling; stir well; cover. Lower heat and simmer for 25 min. Add cheese cubes and toss lightly. Serve at once.
