Ingredients:  
Combine in top of double boiler and cook, stirring constantly, till filling is very thick and stays away from sides of pan when stirred:
½ C flour
2T cornstarch
1 ½ C sugar
1/8 t salt
2C boiling water
2 ½ squares baking chocolate (for choc. pie only)

Temper 3 egg yolks with some of the hot filling, add back to pan and cook another 5". Remove from heat and add ¼ C butter and 6T lemon juice for lemon pie, or 1T vanilla and butter for chocolate pie.
Scrape into a 9" baked pie shell. Top with meringue.

BE SURE TO COOK LONG ENOUGH. THE FILLING WILL BE VERY THICK, AND TRULY WILL KIND'A STAY AWAY FROM THE SIDES OF THE PAN.
