Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Aunt Grace was married to Grandpa Leonard's brother, Allen.
She was a wonderful "Grande Dame" with a trigger quick sense of humor. The Hallams had gathered at her place for Christmas dinner and we were all seated at the dining room table when she charged thru the kitchen door and flipped a huge bowl of salad, which landed upside down at her feet. We were all sort of stunned and also trying not to laugh and she looked down on the mess and then up at us and stated, "As you may have noticed, I just tossed the salad!"

That was the day I first ate Date Nut Pudding. So you can see it was memorable for several reasons beside the fact that it was the first Christmas after John and I were married. Too bad he was a PFC during the Korean war and stationed in Maryland at the time. At least he had my brother Don to keep him company as he was stationed at the same base.
