You will need one uncooked pie shell.

3 slightly beaten eggs
1 C corn syrup
2/3 C sugar
1/3 C butter or margarine, melted

Combine above in mixer until well mixed

Stir in 1.5 C pecans

Pour batter into uncooked pie shell. Cover the shell edges with aluminum foil, then remove 10 minutes before timer goes off.

350 deg. F 55 - 60 minutes
Test by inserting butter knife into center and when it comes out clean, it's done.

This is the work horse of every Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's Larry's special favorite, sometimes it's my nightmare. But then, all pies are my nightmare and I have no idea why they turn out edible. I think it must be the high cholesterol content.
