Cook together in a fry pan:
1 chopped onion
1/2 chopped green bell pepper
1 pound ground beef
Drain grease

Add a small can tomato sauce
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 Tsp salt
1/2 Tsp chili powder

Bake in a 350 oven one hour with dish covered

This was in heavy rotation while I was growing up, Dad (Gmpa John) loved it. Mom would change it up occasionally by stuffing bell peppers with it or rolling it up in cabbage leaves before baking it. You could also bake it into a pie crust.
