1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream shortening, butter, powdered sugar, and sugar. Add eggs and rest of ingredient.

Roll on floured surface. Cut with cookie cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 10 minutes.
