Directions:
Put sugar in large bowl with cubed butter, add scalded milk till butter is dissolved. Add cold water, mix, then add eggs, mix. Add 2 cups flour and mix, add yeast thats been dissolved. Start adding flour till it does not stick to your hands or bowl, but not as stiff as bread dough.
Put crisco around bowl and on dough, turn dough and put more crisco on the rest of dough to keep it from sticking to bowl. Place in warm spot to rise and let rise till double in size, punh down and let rest for 10 minutes.
Make rolls and put in pans to rise till double.

Bake at 350º for 20 to 25 minutes, till golden brown and they sound hollow when tapped. Grandma's way of telling when they are done.
Makes about 4 dozen

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Grandma ( Mildred Campbell) got this recipe a long time ago and tweaked it till she got it right. We have enjoyed the rolls for several years especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas, Yummmmmm
Be sure you use "Flour for Bread". Other Flours leave it course and heavy. (I found this out this Thanksgiving.) I had to call Mom C to find why it did not taste or feel like hers.
