1 loaf of bread - dried 4 days
1 can chicken broth
1 can of cream of chicken soup
4 eggs beaten with a little water added
1 stalk celery finely chopped
4 oz mushrooms thinly sliced and chopped
2 small onions finely chopped
1 C shortening
pepper and salt

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions, mushrooms and celery in shortening. Break bread up into pieces and dampen slightly. Grease a casserole dish or slow cooker. Put bread, sauteed vegetables and all other ingredients into casserole or slow cooker. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes or until brown on top. Cook in slow cooker for 3.5 hours on high.
