1 tbsp. veg. oil
1 tbsp. margarine
2 lg. yellow onions(quartered and thinned)
10 garlic cloves
4 med. tomatoes
13/4c. low sodium beef broth
1 can tomato sauce(8oz)
1 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
1/2c. sugar
1 can tomato sauce

Heat oil/butter in pot
Add onions and garlic.
on low heat cook this .bring to a boil.add rest of ingredients. simmer 15 min. discard bay leaf.
