500 grams medium sized prawns
2 onions, sliced
3 cloves of garlic, sliced
½ of a lime – juice
5 – 6 curry leaves
¼ teaspoon turmeric
5 tablespoons oil
1 tablespoon chili powder
Salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Clean and wash the prawns leaving the tail on.
2. Heat the oil in a pan.
3. Fry the onions, garlic, curry leaves until they are caramelized.
4. Lower the heat and add turmeric, chili powder and salt and cook for a minute or two stirring well. Add the prawns and continue stirring until well coated with the other ingredients. Put a lid on and continue to cook for about 10 minutes. Add the lime juice, and give a quick stir. Add salt to taste.
