1 c. cut dates
1 tsp. Soda
1 1/2 c. Boiling Water

1/2 c. Oleo
1 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 c. Flour
3/4 tsp. Soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Mix first three ingredients to make the date mixture then set aside. Mix remaining ingredients then place in bottom of 10x13 pan. Add date mixture on top. Over top pour 1/3 cup white sugar and 1 pkg choc chips.

Bake 45 minutes.
