1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
2 T. light corn syrup
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 3 items (sugar, water, corn syrup) in heavy sauce pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until clear. Cook, without stirring, until it reaches soft ball stage or candy thermometer registers 240º (25-30 minutes). Beat egg whites and cream of tartar at high speed until soft peaks form. Slowly add syrup mixture, beating constantly. Beat until stiff peaks form.
