"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Personal Notes:
This was our Mother's recipe and a tradition in our house growing up. Rita Seago is the only one in our family who has kept up the tradition. She is in her 80's and it has been special treat for the Wolf family to receive a box of Grandma Ohmes' Christmas Cookies each year. What a sweet and special way to remember our childhood Christmas' in the Ohmes Family. A special thanks to my sister, Rita from Mary Dean (Ohmes) Wolf.
