Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 Cups ground Vanilla Wafers
1 Cup ground Pecans
1 Cup Confectioners Sugar
3 Tablespoons Light Corn Syrup
1 1/2 Tablespoons Cocoa
1/2 Cup quality Bourbon
Extra Confectioners Sugar, for rolling

Directions:
Directions:
Grind the vanilla wafers and pecans separately, using a food processor, and measure into a large mixing bowl. Stir in 1 cup of confectioners sugar and cocoa, mix well. Add the corn syrup and bourbon and mix to combine. Form the dough into small balls using your hands. Roll each ball into confectioners sugar. The dough will feel a little wet, like raw cookie dough, but after sitting out coated with the confectioners sugar, they dry out a little and become perfect moist little bites.

Personal Notes:
As I got older, these disappeared as our Holiday dinners became simpler, but growing up Momma had loads of her cookies for dessert (pecan tassies, flat pecan bar cookies, wedding cookies) including these Bourbon Balls. I can remember seeing my daddy make them. You can substitute Rum for the bourbon for Rum Balls.
