1 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. baking soda

Chocolate Bark

Directions:
Cook and stir sugar, corn syrup, and vinegar in a 2-qt. pan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Cook without stirring until candy thermometer registers 300º or a small amount of mixture dropped into cold water separates into threads that are hard and brittle. Immediately remove from heat, quickly stir in baking soda. Mixture will double in size and change color and texture.

Pour into and ungreased pan - DO NOT spread. Let cool.

Melt chocolate - drizzle over candy. Refrigerate until chocolate is set - at least an hour and then break into pieces.
