2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. milk
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla (or lemon, or almond)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut shortening into the flour mixture. Then add milk, eggs and flavoring and beat just unitl mixed. Do not overbeat. Pour into non-stick bundt pan and bake in 350º oven for one hour.

This is great to eat plain or top with sprinkle of confectionary sugar. Awesome to slice and use for fruit shortcake instead of biscuits.
