Ingredients:  
2 C cold cooked rice
1 well beaten egg
2 T sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C flour
1 tsp baking power
cooking fat

Directions:
Directions:
Combine rice, egg, and sifted dry ingredients; mix well. Form into flat cakes and dust with flour on waxed paper. Heat fat in skillet and place rice cakes in hot fat. Saute' until golden brown and turn saute' on other side. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
