4 c. crushed tomatoes
1 clove minced garlic
3/4 c. chopped onion
3 Tbsp. olive oil
12 oz. tomatoe paste
1 Tbsp. sugar
11/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
11/2 tsp. oregano
1 bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cook onion and garlic in oil until tender.
2. Stir in remaining ingredients.
3. Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes.
4. Remove bay leaf.
5. Serve, freeze, or process 15 min. in boiling water bath. Makes 1 quart.
