Davidson's Homemade Chilli Recipe

Ingredients:

2 lbs of lean ground beef or sirloin
2 cans of french onion soup
1 dark kidney beans; drained
1 can of chilli beans; medium
1 large onion
2 garlic cloves
1 heaping tablespoon of chilli powder; add more if needs be
2 heaping teaspoons of cumin; add more if needs be
1 can of fire roasted diced tomatoes
1 8oz can of tomato sauce
1 6oz of tomato paste
1 can of chilli ready tomatoes
Salt and Pepper to taste
A spoon full of sugar

Garnishes: Sour cream, Fritos, cheddar cheese, diced onions

In a large pot over medium heat brown the meat till no pink. Drain the meat then add the onion and saute for 3 minutes. Add the garlic. Cook for 3 minutes. Then add chilli powder, cumin. Then add all of the other ingredients, tomatoes, beans, french onion soups.

Let it simmer for an hour on low heat.

Dad won the chilli contest at work with this recipe!

Leftovers make Chilli Spaghetti; or Freeze it. I sometimes replace the beef for lean ground turkey breasts.
