Ingredients:
2 Tbsp butter
3 cups sugar
1/4 cup Karo syrup, red label
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup whipping cream (not heavy)
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Directions:
Place all ingredients except vanilla and nuts in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Continue cooking to soft ball stage. I cook it to 224º (adjust for your altitude) Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour on slab and work it with a spatula (a 4" putty knife works great) until it begins to thicken and loses its gloss. Fold in nuts and quickly spread into buttered 8-inch square pan.
