1 9-inch Unbaked Pie Crust
Pie Filling:
3/4 C. Sugar
1/4 C. Flour
1/2 tsp. ground Nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground Cinnamon
Dash of Salt
6 C. Tart Apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
Crumb Topping:
1 C. Flour
1/2 C. Butter, cold and cut into Tbsp.
1/2 C. Brown Sugar, packed
1/4 C. Dry Oatmeal

Pie Filling:
Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt together in a bowl. Toss in apples and mix to coat. Turn into pastry-lined pie plate.
Crumb Topping:
Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl and cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Top apple mixture with crumbs. Bake at 425º for 50 minutes. Cover top of pie with tin foil during the last 10 minutes of baking..
