3 c. milk
6 eggs, separated
2/3 c. corn starch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 T. butter

1 c. raisins
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell

Directions:
Place milk in heavy pan. Separate the eggs. Set aside the egg whites. Whisk egg yolks and add to the milk. Add corn starch, salt, sugar and raisins. Place on burner at medium temperature. Stir continuously until mixture turns into pudding. (This will get lumpy and burn if left unattended.) Add butter and stir. Pour into baked pie shell.
Use egg whites to make a meringue with your favorite recipe. (Mine usually weeps so not a good idea to use it.)

When Clarence is at a restaurant and orders pie, he always asks for raisin cream pie. Usually they don't have it!
