"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

1 cup milk
1 ½ candy canes, crushed

Directions:
Heat milk until almost boiling. Add crushed candy canes and stir until dissolved.

(We usually buy a couple boxes aof candy canes at the beginning of winter and crush them all together in a big Ziploc bag. When we want a cup of candy cane milk, we add about 3 tbsp. to a mug of hot milk.)

This is a fun substitute for hot cocoa after playing in the snow!
