2 T. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
4 eggs, beaten
12 slices bread

Beat well with beater to remove lumps. Dip bread in batter quickly and fry in about 1/8" of margarine or butter flavor Crisco until both sides are golden brown.
