8 oz. dry Fettuccine or 10 oz. fresh Fettuccine
6 Tbsp. Butter
1-1/2 C. Heavy Whipping Cream, divided
1 C. freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/8 tsp. White Pepper
1/8 tsp. ground Nutmeg
1 tsp. Garlic Powder

Cook pasta in boiling salted water (1 tsp. Salt to 2 qt. of water) until al dente, (7-9 minutes for dry pasta and 1-2 minutes for fresh); drain.
Melt butter in a large skillet until lightly browned. Add 1/2 c. cream. Boil rapidly over high heat until shiny bubbles form. Reduce heat to medium, add cooked pasta; toss well with 2 forks. Add cheese and remaining cream a little at a time, toss until thoroughly combined. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg and garlic powder. Serve immediately

This is easy to make. It is better than Alfredo sauce from a jar and even better than most restaurants.
Variation: You can add 1 C. cooked, diced Chicken or 1 C. cooked shrimp to this recipe if you like. Toss in warm chicken or shrimp prior to the seasonings.
