work 1/2 cup butter until creamy with
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg slightly beaten

sift together:
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp.cream of tarter
1/2 tsp. soda
and add to butter and sugar mixture (above)
add 1/2 cup pecans, raisins or coconut
Directions:
Directions:
Make into Roll and Chill
Slice thinly
Bake at 350º
