1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. cold coffee
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nutmeats

Directions:
Directions:
Stir shortening until creamy, add sugar and cream thoroughly. Stir in beaten eggs and coffee. Add spices, salt and baking soda to the sifted flour and sift again. Add to cream mixture mixing well. Add nutmeats.
Drop by teaspoon full on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 12 to 15 minutes.
