2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter or lard
3/4 c. milk
Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in lard until it is evenly mixed.
Add milk and knead for 1/2 minute. Mix all ingredients into soft dough. Roll into 2 cakes to fit layer pans (8 or 9 inch round cake pans). Bake at 425º for 12-15 minutes. Serve covered with crushed fresh berries.
