SAUCE
1 red bell pepper
1 clove garlic, chopped
5-6 basil leaves, torn
1 T. olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

TOFU
1 pkg. extra firm tofu, drained, lightly pressed
1/2 c. raw almonds

salt and pepper
olive oil for cooking

Directions:

SAUCE: Blend all ingredients in food processor.

TOFU: Cut diagonally to make triangular shaped slices or 8 pieces. Pulverize almonds in food processor until consistency of almond meal. Add salt and pepper. Place almonds in shallow pan and press both sides of tofu into the mixture to coat. Fry in olive oil over medium high heat, about 3 minutes per side. Serve immediately with red pepper sauce.
