1/2 c. unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, large
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2/3 c. unsweetened cocoa-not Dutch processed
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Fleur De Sel for sprinkling, or any coarse salt

Preheat oven to 350º. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Using a mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and creamy, about 4 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Add vanilla and mix.

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking and salt. Add to egg ingredients and mix until just combined. Scoop by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheet and flatten slightly. Sprinkle the tops with Fleur De Sel. (salt of the sea).

Bake 9 minutes, or until edges are crisp. Cook on pan for a few minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight container
