4 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
pinch salt
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup baking molasses
2 eggs
3/4 cup sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, beat.
2. Add molasses and sour milk, mix.
3. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture.
4. Drop on greased cookie sheet.
5. Glaze by brushing top with beaten egg.
Bake in 350º oven for 8 to 15 minutes. Time varies depending on size of cookies.

My Gram's cookies were "Big" usually around 4 inches. She had them stored in a large granite roasting pan. The grandkids and Pap raided it regularly.
