1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

2 cups rolled oats
2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening, sugar, vanilla, eggs and brown sugar until creamy. Add flour, soda, baking powder and salt and mix until well blended. Add rolled oats and chocolate chips and mix well.

Roll about a tablespoon of dough into ball shape and place about two to three inches apart. Bake at 350º for about 15 - 20 minutes, until lightly browned.
