3 eggs, beaten
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. regular oats
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla; let stand 1 hour. Cream shortening and sugars. Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon into sugar mixture. Blend in raisin mixture, oats and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10 to 12 minutes.
