2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
3/4 c granulated sugar
3/4 c packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 c (12 oz pkg) semi sweet chocolate morsels
1 c chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
(1) Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in bowl.
(2) Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in separate bowl.
(3) Add eggs to butter mix one at a time, beating well after each addition.
(4) Gradually beat in the flour mix.
(5) Stir in morsels and nuts
(6) Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
(7) Bake in preheated 375 oven 9-11 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes then remove to wire rack and cool completely.
