1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs

In small bowl:
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. cocoa
1/3 c. boiling water
Set aside
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp vanilla

Topping:
6 Tbs. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp cream or canned milk
1 c. coconut
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, flour, eggs, and shortening, Add soda mix and sour milk alternately. Add vanilla. Mix well and put in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350º for 30 to 45 minutes or until pick comes out clean.
Topping:
Melt butter, add other ingredients, mix and put on top of warm cake and put under broiler until bubbly.
