cookie dough
2 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1 1/2 cup shortening
3 eggs
4 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoon soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 cup cherry juice
9 teaspoons milk
6 squares unsweetened chocolate (1 oz squares)
1 1/2 cup maraschino cherries chopped
1 1/2 teaspoon red food color
1 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
2 -16 ounce bags marshmallows (cut in half)
Frosting
16 ounces chocolate chips
1/2 cup Crisco melted
Directions:
Directions:
cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, flour, soda and salt. Then add cherry juice, milk, melted chocolate, food coloring, nuts, and cherries. Bake cookies 12 to 15 minutes in a 350° oven. Cut marshmallows in half with scissors place on top of cookies immediately out of the oven while they are still hot. Allow cookies to cool and then drizzle with frosting over the top of the marshmallow. recipes already tripled makes 6 dozen medium cookies Kath's speciality
