"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lbs. of hamburger (have used ground turkey also)
4 C. cooked long grain rice (Minute Rice tends to break down)
1 envelope dry soup mix (either Beefy Mushroom or Beefy Onion)
1 C. water

Directions:
Directions:
* Brown ground meat in large skillet and drain.
* Add dry soup mix to cooked & drained meat; incorporate throughout.
* Add 1 C. water to meat & soup mixture; simmer until water has reduced to a "gravy/sauce" that coats the ground meat.
* Add cooked rice to skillet mixture; the goal is to coat each kernel of rice with the "gravy/sauce".
***** At this point the dish is done....it can be refrigerated and reheated in skillet or microwave.

***** Additional options:

1)Add salsa, black beans, corn and top with shredded cheese for a Mexican twist.
2)Put mixture in halved bell peppers and cover with tomato sauce or salsa and bake for stuffed peppers.
3) Wrap mixture in steamed cabbage leaves and place seams down in covered dish. Then add 1 C. water, or broth or tomato sauce to prevent sticking. Be sure pan is tightly covered and bake in 325 F oven for about 1 hr (or until cabbage leaves are cooked through.
This basic recipe and very adaptable to any spices or herbs that may be you favorites.
