Fudge:
1 pkg semi sweet choc chips (12 oz)
1 Can sweetened condensed milk
2 T Butter
1/2 tsp salt

add 1 tsp. vanilla after melted..set aside

Oat mixture: (use electric mixer to mix all of this)
1 C Butter
2 C Brn sugar
2 Eggs
2 1/2 C flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3 C quick oatmeal

opt. chopped walnuts

Mix fudge ingredients in a double boiler & melt, then add vanilla. Set aside.

With electric mixer combine oat mixture.

In Jelly roll pan: Pat 1/2 of the oat mixture in bottom of pan. Pour fudge over oat mixture.
Crumble/clump remaining mixture over chocolate, do not cover completely you should see some chocolate showing through.
Opt. may top with walnuts.

Bake 350º for 20 minutes or until golden. Don't over bake.
