3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. vegetable Oil
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
2 c. chopped walnuts (divided)
2 c. banana's

Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
16 oz. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
For Cake: Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs and oil until moistened (do not beat). Stir in vanilla, pineapple (undrained), 1 C of nuts & all of banana's. Spoon in to 3 round greased and floured cake pans. bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Cool in pans for 10 minutes then place on cooling racks. For Frosting: Combine cream cheese and butter then add powdered sugar then add vanilla last. Mix all together as you add each ingredient. Put cake together: between each layer of cake put a layer of frosting sprinkled with nuts. After putting together cover entire cake with remaining frosting and sprinkle with nuts.

When I was a kid, one of the ladies in my mothers bridge club used to make this and bring it to the house. Mom got the recipe and its been a family favorite every since.
