1/4 lb. butter
3 c. raw rice, use high quality rice
6 c. chicken broth
1 med. onion, chopped
dash garlic powder
2 T. parsley, dried

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º. In a heavy skillet melt butter. Add chopped onion and sauté until lightly browned.
2. Add the rice and brown (almost to the color of brown rice).
3. Place into 3 quart casserole. Add seasonings, toss, then add broth.
4. Cover and bake in a 350º oven for approximately 1 hour or until all the liquid is absorbed by the rice.

Serve with plain yogurt to top pilaf.
