German Sweet Rice Recipe

1 c. rice
4 c. milk
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
Cinnamon-sugar mixture

Directions:
Directions:
Combine rice and milk in the top of a double boiler. Cook for at least an hour till rice is soft and milk is absorbed. Stir several times so mixture does not stick to the bottom. May need to add more milk. Rice will be sticky, not fluffy. When finished cooking and while rice is still hot, stir in butter and sugar. Transfer to serving dish. Top with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Serve hot, warm or cold.
