1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oatmeal
1/4 butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 spt. cinnamon
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 1/2 c. flour

Topping
8 Tbsp butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk or cream
1 c. coconut
1 c. pecans, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Mix boiling water, oatmeal, and 1/4 lb butter in bowl and let stand about 5 minutes. Stir in 2 c. brown sugar, cinnamon and pie spice, salt soda, and flour. Pour into 9X13 pan and bake 350º for 30 - 35 minutes or until done;
Mix topping ingredients and pour over top of hot cake. Put under broiler and broil about 2 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
