"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Mix together
4 c. milk
3eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
pour mixture over bread mixture and bake like a custard (a pan that fits inside a pan with hot water in bottom pan) in a 350 degree oven about 30-45 min. Be sure to check about half way through cuz sometimes liquid will push bread mixture up and you may have to push it all down with a spatula.
