6 C cornbread, cooled and crumbled
8 slices day old bread...try whole wheat
4 eggs
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 T poultry seasoning
1/2 t black pepper
2 10 1/2 oz cans cream of chicken or 1 chicken+1 celery soup
2 10 1/2 oz cans chicken or turkey broth
1 C dried cranberries (optional)

Crumble breads and toss together. Add all other ingred except butter. Pour into greased crockpot. Dot with butter. Cover and cook for 2 hours on medium or low for 4 hours.

Similar to the slow cooker recipe...just different combinations of bread. Again, try your own dressing in the crockpot...it frees up the oven and lots of last minute coordinating. This plus the easy sweet potato dish in vegetable section both make holiday dinners easier!!! Both can be prepared ahead of time and cooked on "day of".
