2 lbs lean ground beef
1/2 large onion, finely chopped
4 Tbsp mustard
1 egg
4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 can sweetened condensed milk
4 cups fine bread crumbs
SAUCE:
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/3 cup ketchup
1 cup vinegar
2 cups water
4 Tbsp cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl combine meatball ingredients and mix well. Shape into 1 inch meatballs and place on broiler pan. Broil on high for 5-7 minutes, then turn over and broil another 5-7 minutes.
Mix together sauce ingredients. Put sauce and cooked meatballs in covered roasting pan (or crock pot) and bake until heated through (at least 45 minutes).

I once asked grandma how she made her sweet and sour meatballs and this is what she told me. It is based on her recipe in the Homecoming Cookbook 1987.
