1 cup dark seedless raisins
3/4 cup golden raisins
1 cup water
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs (slightly beaten)
3 1/2 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cook raisins with water over moderate heat until all the water is absorbed- remember to stir.
2. Cool raisins.
3. Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
4. Sift flour, soda and salt and add to creamed mixture.
5. Add raisins and vanilla and mix well.
6. Refrigerate 2 hours.
7. Roll dough into small balls then roll in sugar.
The recipe doesn't call for a greased cookie sheet but it might not be bad to very lightly grease one.
Bake at 350º for about 15 minutes.
